DESCRIPTION

  Light transmitting concrete, also known as translucent concrete, is a new type of hybrid material made from a combination of concrete and light-conducting materials (usually optical fibers). This material spreads light through the light-conducting material, allowing the originally opaque concrete material to achieve the purpose of translucent light, and then form a crystal clear decorative effect.

  The light-conducting material in translucent concrete is usually an optical fiber with good alkali resistance, which transmits the light from one end to the other through the property of total reflection. This material relies on optical fiber to guide light is not as transparent as glass, but when the content of optical fiber increases to a certain density, it will make the translucent concrete have a starry light transmittance effect. This effect can be controlled by artificially arranging the optical fibers so that the surface of the translucent concrete displays light-emitting subtitles or graphic effects, and also through the interaction of light and shadow to project the surrounding shadow on the translucent concrete wall as a decoration.
